Project Chemo Crochet

What is your hobby about?  How did you get involved in this hobby?  What do you enjoy most about this activity?

I joined Project Chemo Crochet after reading a post about the project on Facebook. Being that I lost my mother to lung cancer 3 years prior, I immediately wanted to become involved. My work began by crocheting squares for blankets which then turned into stitching blankets together. These blankets comfort chemo patients during their treatment.  They are designed to make the patient feel safe and warm, as well as being surrounded by the love and support of so many near and far!  We receive donated squares from 49 states!!

After the expansion of Pink Warriors, Inc – Project Chemo Crochet to the west coast, I stepped up as a leader of the east coast division. Continuing to regularly stitch blankets together, I also manage the collection of squares and assembled blankets as well as the distribution of requested blankets from our PA location.
